The word 'Vaastu' is originated from the word 'Vastu' which means who have the power is vastu. The Shastra of Vastu is 'Vaastu Shastra'. To save human beings from and their dwellings our ancient saints have developed Vaastu Shastra, which we better know as Building art. That is why before starting construction work the land worship is done and shubh muhurathas are seen before entering the house. • Varun (West) - He is god of rain. He showers his blessings through rain and brings prosperity and pleasure in life all round.

• Vayu/Wind (North-west) - He bestows on us long life, health and strength. He is the basic of all life.

• Kuber (North) - He is god of wealth. He grants us wealth and all comforts of life.
